Day 1- bring it on!

Every new year people have new years resolutions and they try to reach them. I am reaching out to all of you because every year I make the same resolution and things change, but they don't change for the long haul. I have decided that this is my year. This is the year I change things, but I will maintain those healthy changes. I have a wonderful group of motivators behind me as we are doing the Burlington Girls Biggest Loser until March 12th. This will continue again until our friends Tim and Lyndsey's wedding in July. These are a group of ladies that all have the same goal- lose weight, but maintain the weight loss and change our lifestyle to be a healthy one. I want to change my lifestyle into a healthy one so I will not have trouble getting pregnant when the time comes (yes I know it's a long term goal, but children are very important to me and the minute I'm 'overweight' puts me in a higher risk category). I finally want to change my lifestyle for me .. not for Nick .. not for my parents or my doctor ... for ME. This has been the piece of the puzzle I have been missing and I'm excited to start the journey. Thank you for your continued support and I hope my blog can be somewhat entertaining at times as well as motivating.

  1. I'm with you em - like most other people on the planet, I've also re-started a healthy living plan this new year. Thanks for so publicly stepping up to the plate and being a motivator!

  2. Way to go Em. You have motivated me to create my own health goals. If there is anything I can do to support you on your journey let me know. I love the idea of Couch to 5 K - just think of the shape you will be in for Europe! You Go Girl!
