So I'm back from the gym and it feels great!!!
I did the day 1 week 1 program podcast of the couch to 5k and it did a great job at pushing me but still making it an attainable beginning. The focus was on brisk walking with rotating with 90 seconds on jogging .. totaling 30 minutes of cardio. In this time I was able to complete about 2.5 km so on day 1 I'm able to complete half of my race. However let me tell you it was NOT easy and was a harsh reminder how out of shape Iam, but I am so I'm happy I made the step to go to the gym.
I really loved the women's club section of the Good Life, felt really comfortable and there is even a weights circuit of 9 machines that takes 20 minutes but works a lot of different muscles. This was a great thing for me as I know I cannot dedicate hours and hours to the gym even if I tried, it's not a realistic. So this 30 minutes of cardio and 20 minute weight circuit is something that could be maintained 3 times a week. I'm happy to say exercise is included into my life and it is going to STAY that way!
