some visualizations...

Hey everybody ..
For the first time today my visualization technique paid off .... I was out for dinner thinking I really wish I could get the curry cocunt chicken with naan bread .. full of deliciousness and creaminess... then I visualized the money I'm spending on training and thought of what my trainer says ... a training program isn't anything without a nutrition program .. so I opted for a salmon salad which was actually delicious!! This visualization technique really pays off .. today when I was on maybe my 60th jump squat ready to give up I closed my eyes for the last ten and pictured my future (as dorky as that sounds). It was odd, but I saw my future family (including children). The reality is being healthy for pregnancy (in the FUTURE) and being healthy (e.g. being able to chase a toddler) is a big reason behind my weight loss journey. These visualizations are fantastic!

Another visualization that my Mom encouraged me to do was track weight loss through pictures. The idea was also inspired by my own trainer who posted her progress in photos. It's inspiring to work with somebody who started around the same weight as I did and is now healthy, muscular and fit (and has kept the weight off!).

So to start my journey .. I'm posting my starting weight picture .. Jan 2011 (unfortunately I don't have a full length picture) ..it wasn't until March 2011 that I really began to join the gym, eat clean and get serious about it all. The other picture was taken on July 14th 2011 in NYC. I wish the progress was faster but it's not easy ... 25 pounds lighter though and feeling good.
